Killeen Fields

Irish wunderkind Kevin Killeen has been eliminated from the High Roller – we didn’t quite catch the hand, but it was fellow countryman and overachiever Marc MacDonnell who did the deed, and is now up to 80k or so. Moments after Killeen had left the tournament area, MacDonnell called over to our beloved photographer Mickey May. “When you get a minute, could I have the photo of me and Kevin?” he asked. “I just busted him.” *Giggle*. He actually giggled.

Field Officially Larger than Last Year

We currently have 74 entries in the High Roller event, four more than this event got in total last year. With over an hour left to register, and players busting out all over the place what with the Heads Up and Hendon Mob Championships going on elsewhere in the room, it would not surprise us in the slightest if the final number is somewhat higher than that.

High Rolling at the 2019 Irish Open

With 69 entries at the first break, the €2,000 High Roller is well on track to top last year’s field (70), especially as rollers of the high variety are almost all fans of a late register and they can buy in until nine o’clock. Currently stacking ’em highest are: Duff Charette – 78,000 Tobias Aske – 73,000 Michael Mazilu – 75,000 Espen Uhlen Jorstad – 70,000 Bjoern Geissert – 60,000 Francisco Benitez De Camilli – 56,000 Dietrich Fast – 55,000
