Chip Counts From Level 9 to Sustain You over the Final Break

The Main Event’s Day 1b has lost over half of its 451 entrants (now 221 remaining), some of them twice.  Here are some notables’ chip counts as the clock ticks down to the final 15 minute break of the day:

Evangelos Bechrakis – 285,000 (still the runaway chip leader)

Jonathan Cummins – 190,000
Ankit Ahuja  – 105,000
Andy Black – 165,000
Gary Clarke – 100,000
Mark Muldoon – 145,000
Sean Prendiville – 135,000
Julio Cacoilo – 120,000
Paul Leckey – 93,000
Mick Graydon – 85,000
Dermot Blain – 80,000
Ian Simpson – 55,000 (pictured; looking for a second Irish Open title)
Jay O’Toole – 64,000
David Lappin – 58,000 (not looking like he’s enjoying his new LHS neighbour Daniel Tighe, who told me that his strategy was “just 3-bet this m-f-“)
Padraig Parkinson – 61,000
